Kuusamo Puukala -  a Classic for Pike Fishing

The legend of the Finnish wobblers is the elegant Puukala which is made of real Finnish Pine. It is an unbeatable lure for the spring time, especially for pike in the shallow water, and in the autumn for the pike in the rushes. Fishermen use this wobbler when any other lure does not catch fish. You have to throw the Puukala to the exact spot, right next to the rushes, water lilies or by rocks. Jerk the Puukala quickly and wait. Still wait for a moment, and after that start to reel irregularly. While reeling make jerks and stops. A jigged lure will raise the attention of the fish which don’t move. The pike can not avoid the temptation when you stop the lure, and it will catch the Puukala deep into the mouth!
