You will find them from the deep water!
Where do you find the fish when they are not in the shallow water close to the shore? From the deep of course! During the hot summer days, the surface water is too warm for most types of fish in Finnish waters. Salmon types and large pike find this most uncomfortable, and they miss the cooler waters. That is when the fish swim deeper in search on cooler waters. In the summer the best habitat for fish is below thermal cline, at least two to three metres below the surface. The ordinary lures, how ever, run most often at maximum depths of 1-1.5 meters. The extra meters can easily be achieved using Kuusamo`s sinker lures and diving sinkers.

| SINKER LURES INCREASE EFFICIENCY WHEN TROLLING
The law of the county permits the use of sinker lures as an addition to the use of the lure. The use of the sinker lure is an old tradition when trolling, especially for pike perch. Attach to the other end of the leader, which is just slightly shorter than the length of your rod, a triangle swivel, and to the other end a lure snap. Attach the other branch of the swivel to the line of the casting rod, with a knot or lure snap. An approximate 30 cm long leader can be tied to the third branch, and to the end of that branch, Kuusamo´ s Sinker lure. Believe or not, but now you have the possibility to catch two fish at the same time!

Tip!
When using Sinker lures and Diving sinkers remember to use thinner line than that on the casting rod. In this way you will not loose all your tackle on the leader if it snags on the bottom. |
